Christine Ricci, Ph.D.
Dr. Christine Ricci is an award-winning media leader uniquely qualified in the children and family entertainment industry for bringing creativity and storytelling to new levels. She’s a key player and idea generator for brand strategy and series development, working internationally with networks, publishers, production studios, and creators to develop media and interactive experiences for audiences.
She is the creator of Nella the Princess Knight (winner of the 2018 Gracie Award for family series) and was a Producer & Director of Research & Development for Dora the Explorer. She has written the educational curriculum and directed the formative research for numerous series including Blaze and the Monster Machines, Team Umizoomi, Ni Hao Kai-lan!, and Go, Diego, Go!
Dr. Ricci has also coordinated the research and evaluation activities for several large New York City School Districts and city-wide community programs in the areas of bilingual and dual language education, literacy, and technology in education initiatives. Author of over 80 children’s books, she received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Massachusetts.
